The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences expanding in influence within the city.

Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of characters who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.

This explains, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.

At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might look unsuited, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the group understands precisely where to go next after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death started the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then settled his obligations and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each member has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, desires revenge.
  • The adventurer has experience in the region and advises that it is a nasty environment.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as important members in the influential clan could help the team enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to head to Timmony in quest for Casimir.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the combat party will not appear next week, leaving the other eight players to form the Explorers and Planners tables.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
